The New York Times ran a great piece last week outlining some steps you can take to enhance your privacy online. It is worth the read. I use one of the companies mentioned (Hover) for all of my domain registrations, and I use (mt) Media Temple to host my personal and business domains, which is where I conduct all e-mail, etc. via a private server; so, my correspondence is most reasonably secured—an extremely important consideration when dealing with clients (think NDAs, contracts, confidential plans & information, etc.). All that said, remember that you can still lose the confidentiality once you exchange an e-mail with a colleague or customer who is using a Gmail address, for instance…
